One of the major challenges and hindrances to progress in agriculture within Ghana is around the rising case of malaria, particularly in the raining season, a period which often requires greater productivity from our farmers. As such, we as a team passionate about agriculture have determined to join the global fight '#malariamustdie' by raising money towards this cause to protect the farmers and their families we interact with together with children who remain the most vulnerable by partnering with the village of hope orphanage by raising $20k towards essential equipment for Village of Hope hospital to help diagnose and treat malaria cases.

As such, 4-man team Kwame Bekoe, Nana Agyeman-Prempeh, Francis Monnie and Godfred Owusu have just competed a 6-day bike ride from Accra to Lagos, setting off on World Mosquito Day, (Which is observed annually on 20 August, and is a commemoration of British doctor Sir Ronald Ross's discovery in 1897 that female mosquitoes transmit malaria between humans.)

We now aim to raise the GHS 100,000 target by the end of September and would be honoured to have your financial support in helping us to reach this target!

All funds raised will go directly to the Village of Hope for their acquisition of essential treatment equipment and we would like to thank our sponsors who have given generously to make this possible, primarily Ghana Bamboo bikes who kindly donated these Ghanaian made bamboo mountain bikes for the journey, which have proved to be durable, robust and efficient. Other sponsors include Greenrootsgh farms, N8tivebar, Village of Hope orphanage, Decathlon Ghana, Osanim, Greenway International Foundation, and Aviadev. Special thanks to media partners Joy fm, Ghanaweb, TV3, Africa feeds and Aviadev who have also joined in this cause to promote on their media platforms. Thanks for your support !
