Hi, my name is Bekithemba Ngulube more commonly known as Beki. 


I am a Zimbabwean currently studying in Ghana at the Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology.  I applied and have been selected to attend the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sports Entrepreneurship Bootcamp, which will be hosted in Hoffenheim, Germany from the 7th to the 13th of September 2019. 


The MIT Bootcamps is one the largest and most illustrious entrepreneurship and technology programs in the world. I feel extremely privileged to have made it into the bootcamp and would like your assistance to attend.


I am extremely passionate about sports and the potential the industry has in Africa. Every year the industry continues to grow on the continent with new opportunities coming to the fore due to the increasing use of technology and media driving on-field and off-field innovation. The program is run by MIT one of the most illustrious educational institutions in the world. The Sports Entrepreneurship Bootcamp places and emphasis on 3 key learning areas:


  • Innovation

  • Entrepreneurship

  • Sports Business


I have so far raised USD $ 2,000 (GHC 10,779) by myself and through friends and family.

I need to raise USD 5,500 (GHC 29,642) before 7 August 2019.


With the final required amount of USD 4,550 (GHC 24,522) before 1 September 2019.


In order to make my dream come true I am reaching out to you and the world at large. Sport has played such a transformative and impactful role in my life, I am who I am because of sport. I have had the privilege to play and compete at various age groups in Football, Cricket, Hockey, Rugby, Swimming, Athletics, Softball and Tennis through which I have learned some of my greatest life lessons. 


Sport being the great leveler that it is, has also taught me to stay humble and respectful. I have learned how to fail and how to respond to failure. It has taught me that effort and endeavour are your greatest currency on the road to success. Most of all, sport has taught me that you are the sum of the people (team mates, coaches, family, friends and beyond) who sacrifice their time, effort and money in the hope to see you succeed.


The advanced training that the MIT Bootcamp will give me will no doubt empower me to be able to give back by building innovative solutions to increase access to opportunities through sport by improving coaching, training and addressing equipment gaps at grass roots levels.
